papa meilland®™ is an older, continual blooming, deep, dark velvety red hybrid tea rose, the yardstick to which dark red, fragrant roses should be judged. he offers up to near-perfect, 5″ blooms of 35+ petals. however, papa meilland®™ does need some care to perform at his best as he can be a bit finicky. experienced rosarians know he is worth it though! this rose has earned a gold medal in germany and the hall of fame from the wfrs and the gamble fragrance award. papa meilland®™ is the plant parent to many amazing varieties including the mccartney rose™.
